After trying to softmod my box with sid3.1 i switched off my xbox then turned back on now all i get is the green xbox startup screen then a black screen,nothing will play not even original game discs,the led stays green but cant get nothing else from box,i dont know how to ftp from my pc,does anyone have any ideas or is it time to get new box,any comment would be appreciated.thanks

I would try to reapply the softmod and see if that helps. worst case you may need to hotswap but your xbox is not dead it is still fixable so dont throw it out

The worst thing that can happen is a noobie fucking up the Xbox while softmodding it. Now, that problem is very fucked up I might say, you fifn't f.r.a.g. it but you do not even get it to boot or run any games.... hotswap _________________
