Wow, I get all worked up having to wait three days for a chip!! Glad you got it!
I didn't realize the Aladdin chips were coming from overseas... I always make sure I order from a US company in hopes of faster shipping. I am just assuming it's overseas when Aladdin mentioned customs.
Anyway, good luck with the chip! Hope it all works out for you. Keep us posted on how it goes.

yeah go ahead with paypal i always got my chip in 3 day, i live in canada.
he also give a great support trought mail
and i never ad any problem with the chip and i installed more then 1

Well, I ordered on Sept. 8th and have still not received the chip. I've emailed 2 weeks after the order asking if it has shipped and when it was shipped so that I know when to expect it. I got an email a few days later with the answer "yes" and that was it. I still don't know when it was shipped and am tired of waiting, so I've just ordered the Live from another source.
At this point, I can not recommend buying from xboxlive.com at all unless you have all the time in the world to wait and don't care that they will ship you a mini aladdin instead when you actually ordered an aladdin live. there is little to no information at all on the mini aladdin and from the little information that I've found, it's all questions about how to install it - no comments at all about it working well. probably better to wait or order from somewhere else if you want the aladdin live.
hopefully someone will buy the mini aladdin from me whenever it does arrive...

I had the same problem except I paid ,Aladdin Live + Programmer, from the website. When it arrived I got Mini Aladdin + Programmer (BIG MISTAKE). I don't know anything about Mini Aladdin, I don't even know if it can play Xbox Live. So I paid for the Programmer which doesn't work with the Mini Aladdin which means its useless. I paid for something that is useless. If they gotta send me the Mini Aladdin, at least send me an email saying so and don't include the programmer cus it doesn't work with Mini. They didn't do that and they bundled the Programmer with Mini. Wtf...I'm pissed. Aladdin, if you're reading this. I demand a refund for the programmer and more information about Mini Aladdin or send me the correct (Aladdin Live) chip. I'm sorry that I just can't give you good feedback for doing that to me.

I'm back and still waiting for my chip (over a month now). At this point, I doubt that I'm going to ever get my chip. Going to PM Aladdin and see if he responds.
But I just wanted to stress again my personal recommendation: STAY AWAY FROM ALADDINLIVE.COM! Customer service is almost non-existent. I'm recommending MODCHIPSOURCE.COM. I ordered an Aladdin Live from them an actually GOT an Aladdin Live (i.e. they didn't ship me a Mini Aladdin instead!) and I got it in 3 days! Yeah, they are a little more expensive, but at least I have a modified XBOX now. Also, I worked on the mod on sunday and had some problems. I logged on to their live chat at 10PM and to my amazement someone was online who could help me! I'm sure Aladdin is a very busy person, but if you're running a business, you've gotta be able to respond to people in a more timely manner with more information than 1 word responses.

As expressed in some of the other posts, I ordered an Aladdin Live from the preferred supplier.
A day or 2 after my order, I rec'd an email indicating that the supplier elected to ship me a less expensive modchip (Mini Aladdin), and a credit for the difference.
I didn't object because I was assured the Mini would be ready to install and would perform exactly the same as an Aladdin Live.
Within 2 weeks from order date the Mini arrived. My goodness it was tiny. I realized that my old eyes and shakey hands weren't going to be able to install the chip without buggering the XBox MB, so I found a first class modder to install it for me.
Bottom line, the Mini didn't work. The supplier's website wasn't helpful and I had the technician install a generic modchip.
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with my generic modchip but I'm disappointed with the preferred supplier. He wasted my time and in the end cost me more money. _________________ Not quite a Newbie

Hey JackBear, thanks for sharing your issue. Through all of our members giving specifics just like you did, it helps us greatly in determining reliable vendors. There are so many people out there selling chips, mods, and other services that it's very hard to know who the contenders and pretenders are.
Once you find a vendor that gives good service, stick with them! I have always used BMmods for modchips. They don't sell any cheap alternatives, but they guarantee shipping in one business day...and they have never failed.
Things that I always check prior to ordering from a vendor is their location, if they have a reseller rating, what their return policy is, and I always email to find if the product I am purchasing is in stock.
Too many times I ordered something and it turns out to be out of stock. I keep in mind that if the company I am ordering from is out of the US then customs will most likely slow my order. I have found very reputable companies in the UK and US, it just took some research.
Unfortunately, when someone sees a vendors banner or advertisement on this site, they automatically think we are endorsing their service...when in actuality they are just part of an affiliate program.
Personally, if someone took the liberty to send me a different product than I ordered I would dispute the charge any way I could. I would require them to refund my money, shipping, and if they wanted the other product back...pay for that shipping to. If I didn't get satisfaction with that I would go to the BBB.
You seem to be a very straight forward person, and I think you went out of your way to accept what they were trying to do for you.... They owe you a refund. Unfortunately, nobody can reimburse you for the time you lost dicking with an inferior product/support.
