I was just wondering if anyone ordered from this site. I ordered an aladdin live for my v1.6 xbox and I was just wondering if anyone had any problems in dealing with them? I never got an order confirmation nor a response to a question I had concerning the chip (which I found the answer to in this forum). I sent aladdin an e-mail and a pm from this site. I know he's probably a busy guy and I only ordered the chip on Tuesday so I may be being a little paranoid. It would just be nice to hear a response or confirmation of order. Thanks for any reviews of their service anyone can give.

i know for a fact many members here have purchased from aladdinlive.com and also have used our site to pm him..
Hopefully some of them will be online and will reply to this topic just to ease your mind..
Im sure you should have received some sort of confirmation mate but he may be very busy like you say...When i see him online next time i will get him to pm you ASAP..I normally chat with him every couple of days.. Come to think of it he hasnt been online in over 4 days..
anyway, hang in there.. Let us know how you go too if you talk to him first..

I am thinking he's busy too because I have seen a ton of Aladdin Live posts and he usually responds immediately.
Do you have heavy bulk and spam filters running. I know that sometimes when I order from certain vendors for some odd reason their mail falls into those folders and I have to pull them out.
Hopefully, that will be it.

No problem. Does their website have a contact email address? You may even want to try that out for size too.
It is a little odd that we haven't seen him around. But, I know how it feels to get swamped!! Still though, business is business and you would think a reply would be just around the corner. With tomorrow being the next business day, I would betcha you will hear from him.

Hi guys,
sorry for not getting to reply any sooner, but I've been down with a bitch of a bug.
Today I managed to reply to most of my PM's before in my infinite wisdom I pressed delete all, well I was on the second page and had answered all on that page and thought no need to mark them as the whole page is done... but it deleted the unanswered messages on page one too.
I answered the older questions first so if I ignored your PM I apologize.
But anyway on to the solutions.
The problems quite a few people have had is because there is actually two different versions of the 1.6 box, the techie calls them A & B.
The Aladdin XT as with original Aladdin Live works fine with 1.6A, but with 1.6B a switch is needed on the XT. For the Aladdin Live a plus version was made. The factory did not tell me they shipped me the Live+, I didn't know therefore I was shipping it to my customers. For this again I apologize.
The solution to make the Aladdin Live? work perfectly on every Xbox as it should can be found at www.aladdinlive.com/mod. It requires only one wire between programmer and chip, then use the programmer to load one of the BIOS from the website. It won't matter which version of Xbox you have, you'll have to flash the Aladdin Live+ this way to make it work.
After which you'll not ever have an Aladdin problem again.
For those of you who don't have a programmer there is a new version of the Live+ coming within the next week. This chip doesn't need this extra wire method and I will happily replace any mod.

No worries, I am not really an impatient person, as long as it comes I'm happy. I did send you a pm with some more questions, (probably newb questions) but please disregard the first pm I sent. It's the second one that has the questions. The first one I sent before I saw your answer on this thread.

Well, Aladdin confirmed my that my chip was shipped out last Tuesday (AUG 31st) it was ordered Aug. 25. Can anyone who has ordered from Aladdinlive to the US tell me how long I should wait? I'm getting a little impatient, and am thinking of ordering a different chip soon. If I am overreacting please let me know as the site says it normally takes 4-5 days for shipments to arrive.

Well I ordered mine on 27Aug and got an email stating that the item is ship out on 31Aug.
Till date, I have not received my mod chip.

I have never dealt with Aladdin and am unsure of the reason for the sudden rash of issues. Regardless, I too can be an impatient person and I do not think you are over reacting.
I usually receive my chip three days after I purchase. Unless of course I order on a Thursday or Friday, then I usually get Monday to Tuesday. We have several really good vendors on this site, till now there has been no complaints about Aladdin's service.
I hope you get sorted soon, I probably would have already went elsewhere as I cannot afford to make my customers wait for their machines.

Hi all. Well, I ordered not too long ago (Wed. Sept 8th), so I'm not too concerned yet. Hopefully it'll get here sometime this week.
However, what I thought was a little strange was that I ordered the Aladdin Live, but I was refunded $13 and told that the Live chip they have in now would have to be programmed by myself and since it is a difficult process, they are sending me the Mini Aladdin instead! It's supposed to be new and I can't find any information/reviews on the chip, so I'm not sure what to expect. If it arrives and it works, I'll be happy. Otherwise, I'll be a little pissed off.

There are so many different topics here it's hard to answer any and make any sense...
So I'll do this.
I have been busy, then very ill (all of us had some virus) then busy and ill together.
So to catch up we got a few mates to help us pack orders. Most went ok, but about 200 had no senders labels and the customs wrote to us asking us go fix... Why they didn't call I don't know. Anyway they know who we are.
So anyone who got a confirmaation from Paypal will definitely have received or will receive their order very soon.
One of the guys also forgot 4 programmer cables.. could be from one order could be from 4 different. I found them when I returned to work on the packing table. Very sorry if one is yours. Just mail me and it's on it's way.
Usually I would know which is missing what as we normally use a differnt system to process orders, but with almost no one working for four days we just used paypal slips and cut and pasted. So no records of weight for these orders.
Our regular system has a part on the packing slip for the weight.
I will make a new post now for anyone who has technical questions and or problems witht heir chip.

Just an update on my chip....I received my chip yesterday with everything included. I haven't installed it yet, but hopefully I'll have time this weekend to do it.
