Well, today was the big day. Our annual garage sale. I thought I would pop my Xbox in the garage and hopefully get a lot of questions and maybe drum up some business.
That did happen as I have a couple neighbors who are in awe of what a mod can do and are bringing me their machines tonight to get started on. But, someone offered me $450.00 for my machine and as much as I didn't want to part with it, I really need the money for vacation. Not to mention my wife would have cut my whoooha off if I didn't accept the offer.
It was an authentic MS crystal case with X3 CE and X3 CP. Blue LED ring, blue LEDs in the eject/power pcb and controller ports. I did however remove my larger HD and popped a 200GB in it. Even though all the lights and the X3 Control Panel were quite a bit superfluous.... I am truly missing the machine....lol.
I'm not positive, but I swear to god I heard "Taps" playing in the distance as he drove off with my Xbox.
So now I am on a mission to find someone who has a spare X3 CE laying around so I can hurry up and chip another machine.

where my aunt lives, she has this annual garage sale and the WHOLE community comes through all of them.. i set out one of mine, in the dragon case (some of you know what im talking about, its in the forums here), a 1.0v motherboard modded with 128mb ram that i did not to long ago, a xenium ice, 160gb hard drive, and with just that, i was recieving offers in the 400's.. i told them i couldnt part with it, but i had flyers readily available and 20 people atleast had picked one up.. ive gotten a few calls so far, so just sitting there playing nintendo in the sun all day has gotten me atleast 120..
the easiest thing to do would be to go to xs and find some dumb shit that doesnt know what error 16 is and tell them that it may or may not be fixable but you are willing to take it off their hands..
works everytime..

Thanks for the input. Definitely needed the laughs.
I ended up finding a cherry Halo LE machine at my local resale shop. This place has lots of cool stuff like older gaming systems, musical instruments, concert tees, and a lot of unopened classic toys/actions figures not to mention dvd's and cd's.
They sell used Xbox systems for $104 which isn't too bad. I had to pay an extra 5 bucks for the Halo LE, but hell....it's an LE right?? The puppy was never opened, came in the original box, still had the original controller too. Only downfall is no Sammy drive (phillips). A friend of mine who doesn't give a crap what drive he has is gonna swap me drives, so that's cool.
All I need now is to find someone with a spare X3 chip laying around. Was hoping to find a good deal/trade on one, but looks like I am gonna have to order from OTBMODS or somebody.
Has anyone ordered from them? How fast do they ship and are they in the US. I'm too lazy to look _________________ Xbox 1.4

Wow that makes me happy i just payed $60.00 with free shipping for a Xbox 1.6 made in china in 2005 week 32 with samsung 605F drive.......

i just keep checking EBAY but set it up to look at the items that have just been put on there and only buy it now......
i was just lucky i got a new one so low in price (but be Carefull read everything)
i allso got a 1.4 mint condition ($75.00 + $12.00 shipping) but i did have to get a new laser for it nad now it works like new..... (laser cost $15.00 inc shipping)

flEbay is a great source if used wisely. I've gotten many repair parts and drives from there, and I really only mess with buy it now. If it comes down to getting dirty, and I have to play the auction game, I snipe it. Because I'm a dirty man like that.
