The EvoX Dashboard must be still set to boot from DVD as it's first boot. Try booting EvoX first, without the CD inside, then once it's laoded insert the game. That way it won't boot first.
Then, go to Launch Applications -> HDDLoader, this rips the game to your hard drive...
There's an option in the EvoX System settings which allows you to turn off "Auto Boot DVD". This will stop it happening in the future.
Hope that helped...

hi Targetboy,
so are you going to be using this XBOX for XBOX LIVE??
If you are then you must make sure you have a BIOS flashed onto your modchip that BOOTs to the XBOX f:\ partition first.. In saying this i will explain more.
When the xbox boots Old hacked m$ bioses look for a file on c:\ partition (xbox) for the main boot file called evox.xbe.. These days you can get bioses that first search on f:\ parition (xbox) 1st and then c:\ parititon (xbox) 2nd for your xobx boot file.. (EVOX DASHBOARD). This is so that your c:\ partition is left unchanged so if XBOX LIVE SCAN your HDD they cant tell you have modified your xbox.
IF YOUR USING XBOX LIVE:
if you want to use for XBOX LIVE you will have to flash your modhcip with a BIOS that support BOOTING TO F:\ FIRST. then you would use the XBOX HQ AUTO INSTALLER to install the EVOX DASHBOARD to your f:\ drive... You can choose this from the options in the auto installer menu when its boots on your xbox..
If you dont play XBOX LIVE its much easier:
Just install EVOX to C:\ parition and all other apps to F:\ partition..
Just follow the on screen options using the XBOXHQ AUTOINSTALLER.
Then you just reboot..
Your xbox should now boot to the EVOX DASHBOARD which was just installed.. YOU HAVE ALOT TO LEARN MATE.. Just hang in there..

That's just odd.
Have you tried to FTP into your xbox to make sure that the apps actually exist?
Also, what may be the issue is EvoX is pointing to one area for the apps but they actually reside in another.
You mentioned installing them on the G drive.
EvoX probably points to F
Just a guess. _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter

No I have not FTP to the Xbox,
I install the EvoX on the C (G) drive and the Apps on the F drive,
How do I look and see were EvoX is pointing,
Thanks

One more thing
Hey bro I am re-reading the walk-threw again and I see you mentioned formatting my new HD, you said 120/160 Gig,
I installed a new one but it was only a 80 gig I am getting a 160 soon, I formatted the HD as a “Bigger HD” is that a problem, should I re-format the drive and only choose original drive??
I mean if I don’t have a 120 or bigger if there even a F drive???
Thanks Bro

The reason why you can't access them could be one of two reasons:
1) You're not Preparing your drive before installing apps
2) You're forgetting to install the apps
Basically it doesn't matter if the Apps were on E, F, or G as I have set up the installer to recognise it all (that's if you have a G Drive that is actually working and not a blank partition).
Here's the steps I go through to use this installer:
- Unlock Drive
- Format
- Prepare Drive
- Install Microsoft Dashboard
- Lock Drive
- Install EvoX
- Install Apps
- Reboot Xbox and remove the CD
The "Prepare Drive" section is important as it copies blank folders to your Drive, which is needed by the installer to install the apps properly.
Hope this helps...

Nope, anything that is not a standard Xbox HDD is considered as large.
Basically anything 120gb or under allows you to use drives C, E, and F.
It the drive is bigger than 120gb the G drive is now usuable.
The only thing is if you are using a 120gb+ HDD you might need to use a different BIOS, as most will only be for 120 and under or 120+.
Hope that helps you out.. Damn, we should be writing a complete manual I think just to help you out, hehehhehe (j/k)

Ok Up-date time…
I am unsuccessful install the way DJB & realmccloy, (I am sure it me and not them!!!)
Steps I did
- Unlock Drive
- Format (Lager HD)
- Prepare Drive (E & F)
- Install Microsoft Dashboard
- Lock Drive
- Install EvoX (I install this to C (E)
- Install Apps ( Installed to F)
- Reboot Xbox and remove the CD
Unit booted, Evox came up fine, I changed my Skin to make sure it was working.
When to Launch Apps”
I only seen
DVd2Xbox Media Center
PxHDD Loader
Xbox File Explore
-Auto Added Items-
My scroll bar was at the bottom I could not move it up to the options above,
Re-formatted HD
- Unlock Drive
- Format (Lager HD)
- Prepare Drive (E & F)
- Install Microsoft Dashboard
- Lock Drive
- Install EvoX (I install this to C (E)
- Install Apps ( *** this time I Installed to C as Evox)
- Reboot Xbox and remove the CD
Unit booted just fine, but this time when I went to
Launch Apps this time I was able to get to all area, and more
I successfully ripped the game to HD, (I assume it loaded to F because it had 72gig space left, competed and ran I re-booted the Xbox and the EvoX game up just fine but when I looked at the option, games on drive nothing was listed….
I opened the Launch Apps and selected PxHDD (the one I used to rip to drive)
I saw the game selected it and it worked fine..
Then I went back to Launch Apps and selected Dvd2 Xbox and rip the game to C, (E) it ripped fine played fine,
Re-booted the Xbox and EvoX came up just fine but when I looked at the option, games on drive it was there????….
Not sure why this is happening, but everyone so far has said
Install EvoX on C(E) and Apps on F but it did not work for Ripping,
But load all on C (E) it seems to be working~~~
So I hope someone out there can help me with my issue,
Thanks for everyone’s HELP~~~

It's gotta be something that we're missing in what you are telling us about your system.
Since we have been bouncing back and forth between two posts with this, I may have missed your HD size. I have never formatted a HD less than 120GB so if you only have a 80GB HD, then possibly someone can shed some light on your issue.
Hang in there, it sounds like you at least have your apps up and running now, we just need to figure out why you had to install on other drives and not the ones we normally install on.
At least you can finally start enjoying your system _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter
