out the blue my xbox boots up so slow,takes forever to boot my dashboard and programs but boots my games fine.anybody got ideas?

thats wierd try deleting the cache files and see what heppens.

You might have too much on there and it is so slow bc the cache it needs to load isnt enough. If you have unnecessary stuff on it try deleting it. Also, if you have ever opened you xbox reopen it and try blowing on it and seeing if that will help (prob. wont) but you never know. _________________ Moddingbandit

i have a 250 gig seagate and it was close to full so i took your advice and free'd upbout 60 gig on g and 20 gig on f,clear cach again and boom. still slow. whatz next? anymore ideas?

last time i deleted my cache my halo 2 disc stopped working for a day! _________________ I came i saw i modded.

i had my hdd since jan. thats not long at all.i was thinking to unistall the softmodd and then re-install it again cuz maybe there's a corrupt or damaged file causing it to move so slow

I know I have a 160 gig hdd with alot of stuff in it and I know I dont want to lose any of that stuff but I think I would if I had to to make sure my boxs keep working since I dont have any money for a 360 yet

the reason why i think its something else is bcuz if my hdd was burnt out my games would f up but they play fine.my emulators play fine.it justs boot slow and my xbmc takes forever to boot up(6-6-6 build)and then everything works at normal speed, music menus and then my movies play as if the xbox is buffering the disc or its scratched but its a good backup.my games r on f drive and my movies r on g drive
