well it also depends on what the dashboard is sett up ... so mb it does display gb . but most often its mb . its too much of a mess already so wipe out everything and start over , fellow what FH said _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

OK the AID3 disc is fine....I also did your info to a T and it went just like you say it would..but its like I can't use my HDD _________________ The mighty V6 Passat came to chew bubble gum and kick%^* and shes all out of bubble gum!

Well here is the crazy thing...it shows the same setup on the AID3 disc......in the info below the opitions....thats whats werid. So I don't think its the dash for before the dash is put in the C drive...and after formating and perparing...the AID3 disc shows a small amount of MB space. Thats why I am shocked....but hey F is larger then the E drive so mabe I can mess with it more and go from there. Yeah sorry I got you and am going to do that too. but will formating the HDD I have just a few questions
1. Format the HDD should I do large or larger???(300gb)
2. Will formating the HDD clear out the perparing I did before?
3. Should I be getting an error when perparing the G drive (I seem to have E and F)?
4. After I get this all done again (4 time) should I try to install all my E files to F??? ( last time my E drive showed 700,000mb free?)

1) the new hd . DO NOT TOUCH RETAIL
2)it will wipe out everything = a fresh new hd
3)i dont know i'v never done chips but it SHOULD NOT
4)i would put all my apps and emus on E and F and G for games music etc etc. but its up to you , also keep in mind that your preparing the hd first then once the hacked dash loads( ux etc etc) you have to click formate and it will give you the proper size of the folders...
also press Y button when your on aid 3 and it should give you specs _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

Hold up I think the first time I formated it I did do retail did that kill my HDD?

unplug xbox from power outlet open it up and put the bigg hd u want plug everyting back in boot aid 3 disc ( coldboot) and their should be an option to formate or prepare hdd ... if you choose " retail" on the aid 3 then yes thats why it has small size display. no it does not damage hd just re wipe out everyting....

Cool I got that part and it doesn't give you that info when you cold boot it...It just formats it right off the bat by pushing both triggers and start. 1.Then install the dashes in C drive
2. setup for FTP in the hacked dash
3.Perpare the F drive and G drive in the dash settings? or AID3 disc settings?
4. FTP my files to E or F drives (Is there one better then the other??)
5. then jump for joy that it toke my two days for the easyest thing in the world...lol.
6. Drink heavy to forget the crap that happened.

The reason why your xbox is not booting the F:\ or E:\ drive dashboards first is because of the BIOS you are runing on your MODCHIP.
It wont hurt to install a hacked dashboard to the C:\ drive anyway.. As long as you dont intend on going on XBOX LIVE like you mentioned to me previously.
So install your dashboard to C:\.. I would suggest installing XBMC its the best and has the most online features like audio and video streaming, and everything else like weather.. lol
if you want your modchip to boot a dashboard on F:\ or E:\ you need to find a bios for you modchip that boots F:\ E:\ first.

Matter a fact my little brothers xbox has the very first modchip ever in it.. lol
It doesnt support a hdd upgrade and it only boots c:\ drive..
And he is still kicking along fine.. lol

Ok It works now (I am a dumb ass and it always was fine).....but ......I can't do anything with my F drive?? I see all the same files as I do in my E drive but when I try to put files in the states server not allowed or something like that?? But the dash and AID3 now say I have
E drive.....4,881.63MB
F drive.....278,466.8MB
I FTP all my stuff over ot the E drive (can not put stuff in F drive)
What did I do wrond again??
