Howdy all i kno im a new member but im realy intristed into the modding and stuff iim born and raised country boy and i dont know much about the language or flashing or anything else like that but all i kno is that i have a lota games and people are tellin me that you can save them to your harddrive if u buy a bigger harddrive and thats all but i find that hard to belive can somebody help me and lead me into the right direction of what i need or whom i might need to contact xbox scene told me to go to ebay or google and look for somebody and i was hopeing that somebody here would help me i would like about a big enough harddrive for what i need to do somebody told me prolly 120 or 160gb................what exactly to mod chips allow you to do the previous websight said stuff so could somebody elabarate in a form i might be able to under stand
I would greatly appricate anyhelp that you may give to me or somebody that you might refer me to i have done case modding and i am gettin intrested into internaly moddin so im not a person thats findin a site to do it for me and leave to go rip off rental stores and friends................plus i heard that rental stores use a specail disc that mess up when somebody tries to copy then and the person to turn it in sayin it dont work they trace it back to the person befor and press charges or something weather its true or not i have the image that it is but thanks again to any feed back or refers

Hello Fox, welcome to the site.
First off, renting games and copying them to your Xbox is very possible, yet very illegal and as Xbox-Scene does...we too do not condone piracy.
What you do with your Xbox is your business, we are not here to preach and don't care what you do, but just know that we won't tolerate any questions in regard to piracy...we just can't.
Now, onto your questions.
Basically, installing a mod chip gives you the ability to play your Xbox games directly from your hard drive..yes, that is possible. But there is so much more to why you may want to mod your xbox. Firstly, you can stream content from your PC, from the web, you can surf the internet, listen to MP3's, watch DivX movies, Play classic Atari games and other legal roms, etc...
There are quite a few different mod chips to choose, but my preference is SmartXX LT OPX, SmartXX V2, and Xenium Ice mod chips. If you are into case modding and want to add a cool LCD to the front of your machine, then the X3 is the way to go because you can then install the X3 Control Panel.
There are many people out there that will mod for you, but if you are looking for Xbox's that already have Xbox games on them then you have come to the wrong place. You may as well try Ebay or something, but it's hard to find stuff like that there because Ebay doesn't even allow the sale of mod chips or Xbox's with mod chips in them.
You are better off finding legit sites that do retail sales. I can mod Xbox's and do a fair amount of machines so I have pretty good references, but I will not put Xbox games on the HD for you. If you want to do that on your own that is up to you.

Just got my xbox back from good ol MG. The man is a modding GOD. My box is now eye candy. I can't believe how some lights and a skin can make it soooooo different. Thanks dude. I'll let you know when I'm ready to do the other one. _________________

hey Venomos, unfortanetly ModGod recently had bypass surgery so i'm not to sure if he's gonna be back in the scene anytime soon. i know last i heard he stopped taking orders and his brother/or brother-in-law was helping him finish up the orders he currently had.
