O.K i've got a xbox which does not work, and was fitted with an X2.6 w/ 200Gb HD. I wanted to unlock the extra 70-80Gb (due to outdated bios restricting F to 137Gb) and I tried to re-flash the bios with a newer one, which would allow the extra space. Lo and behold, it rebooted 3 times and fragged.
Now heres the bitch. I have tried to use:
X2 4973 v1.0
X2 5035
X2 4987.06
M8, and
the latest iND-Bios (with F support)
Flashing completes as normal and the xbox powers down (Cromwell). Reboot, and it restarts 3 times and frags. All using both 512kb and 1Mb Bios sizes, all with no luck.
Yes, I have used the correct tools to modify the Bioses to allow for Large Partition 6 and no Partition 7, and configuring the dash boot priorities with all dashes are named correctly.
The only Bios I have managed to Flash successfully is the Cromwell 3.0.3 (512kb).
I have a softmod (using the Ndure v3 app) allowing FTP access at the moment, and also have FlashX installed.
Well I've been tinkering for 2 days now and Im starting to pull my hair out. So if anyone has any suggestions, mucho appreciated. Or if Ive missed something, please direct me into the right direction.

Just to clarify this...Would this be a 1.6 box by any chance? Thats the only time I've ever seen something like this with the 2.6.. It's just possible that the chip has a bad bank, have you tried bank2 ?

normally you have to a full bank flash(flashing both banks at the same time) which would be 1 mb if its new, there are tutorials on how to make the bios and how to flash it _________________
