I really want to mod my xbox so that i can backup games/dvds on the hard drive. i am planning to get a 150 to 200 GB HD. I have no idea what to do there afterword or if there is a special kind of HD i need to get. I dont know what chip(s) i need to buy or how to install them. I would really like to mod my xbox and it would be awesome if you could show me how or tell me what to do and buy. I already have an xbox that i can just lift the case off of so i am set in that area.

You could always do a softmod, wich does NOT requir a chip. You can still use your 150-200gig HDD. U decide wat u want to do!!!! I would do a softmod tho.

It does not matter to me. i just want to be able to back up and play games off the HD. whatevery you think is best because i have NO expeirence in the matter at all.
