Hi guys, feeling a bit guilty - aint paid a visit for a while!
Anyway, my mate bought a xecuter chip 2.6 lite for his 1.0, so i installed it today, and took my laptop around to flash the bios and put on all the Os etc, but I found the chips' info screen (ie, flashing the chip etc) really really terrible.
My box is using a zenium Ice, and the setup screen for that is awsome (i actually installed it with my tv set at a different region and couldnt see the screen).
So, can you guys help me out? I need to flash the bios, what is a good one to get for this chip?
Also, How the hell do you find the xbox's ftp setting through the chips menu? The box is recongising no CDs/DVD's we are putting in, we have no router so doing the http seems impossible.
I stuck my zenium in his machine and ftp'd some bios' over (IND bios), so i flashed it with that and then i restart the system and the same blue setup screen returns. So without ftp info, we cant load anything into the box, or am i missing something really obvious here?

Well any Xecuter bios will do.. But i would probably go for EVOX M8 bios for the x2.. It will work fine.. Just make sure you get the right evox M8 bios for the xbox version you are using..

Most modchips dont let you ftp unless you have a hacked dashboard installed.. Well the Xenium and other chips with the OS on them but x2, applex, chameleon, x2 etc etc dont have a OS screen mostly.

mmm.. You will need to burn a bios onto maybe a DVD-R then it will read it first go..
I thought the X2 when you installed came up with a screen asking you to insert a FLASH CD.. anyway let us know how you go and where you up to..

Ok, going to try that later, for some reason, all the dvd's ive put in the machine dont read, tried dummy files etc, but all of them fail.
No worries, i reckon i can get the bios updated now. I'll try throught the HTTP thing again.
just was a bit suppirsed between the zenium and the x2 bios screens are so different huh. Happy i bought the xenium for mine
