Hi, My mate's just bought a second hand chipped x-box fitted with a Xecuter 2 chip and an 80GB Western Digital Hard Drive, but in the settings in evo-x, the hard disk is set as locked with the F and G drives unavailable, and I can't unlock the disk. Can I do this by booting to the chip bios and how do i do this, or is there another way?
Cheers for any help in advance! _________________ "There are routes not to be followed, armies not to be attacked, citdels not to be besieged, territory not to be fought over, orders of civilian goverments not to be obeyed." The Art Of War, Sun Tzu

If you go into the EvoX setting can you change the F drive availability to Yes instead of No. You wont have a G drive, so no use in messing with that option.
X2 mod chips were a bit more primitive than the X3, so the bios isn't going to help you much. X3 has config live that lets you lock/unlock on the fly.
If you cant unlock it via EvoX options, you can always try Config Magic. _________________ Xbox 1.4

Cheers for the help guys. I've already checked the settings in evo-x but changing the availability of the F (or G which is also there) drive doesn't seem to make a difference. I've been advised to try booting with the hard drive disconnected to get to the chip BIOS which I'll try before loading AID3. I'd just like to check what's on the F&G drive first before re-formatting.
Gracias,

Aaaaarrrgh, god no! What's happening! I booted AID and couldn't find options to unlock the HDD so I installed Config magic and another couple of apps onto the E drive. Now it keeps FRAGing after the flubber sequence and giving error code 16. I've also tried replacing the HDD with my old retail HDD (untouched) which I took out of my old XBOX when I chipped it and replaced my HDD with a larger one, and that one keeps giving me error code 6.
Can anyone please help! _________________ "There are routes not to be followed, armies not to be attacked, citdels not to be besieged, territory not to be fought over, orders of civilian goverments not to be obeyed." The Art Of War, Sun Tzu

Error 16, no dashboard. Boot AID and install a dashboard to C or E and you'll be good to go.
Error 6, hard drive isn't locked. Your chip isn't on. But that doesn't matter, because you just fixed the bigger hard drive. Good on ya, m8. _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."

The problem is the x-box won't boot to AID (on a disc) using either HDD, it just comes up with error code 16 when I restart the x-box. Can I try hot swapping with the HDD from my x-box (would hate to screw that up as well!) _________________ "There are routes not to be followed, armies not to be attacked, citdels not to be besieged, territory not to be fought over, orders of civilian goverments not to be obeyed." Resoftmod the original hard drive (boot your original softmod game). And just run the exploit again. Once that's done, rebuild your XBHDM disc, and then redo the bigger hard drive.
Note: If you're just taking the smaller HDD (HDD A) and want the bigger HDD (HDD B) to be the exact same, just copy over the contents of HDD A's C Drive (modded, not stock) to HDD B. This will make it seem as if your drive never really changed. Just upgraged in size. That way, you don't have to resoftmod once you upgrade.
Also, make sure you're grabbing the EEPROM backup from E:\UDATA\21585554\000000000000\Backup\
Dump that under the EEPROM folder in XBHDM. Just dump all the files, that way XBHDM has something to play with. _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."
