hey guys. ok heres the the itch. I soft modded my xbox using SID 4.5. I now want to install a 20 gb western digital into it. I ftp the eeprom and c drive from the xbox HD to my computer and insert it into the corresponding folders in xboxhdm, i created the iso and burnt it onto a cd-rw, i disconnected all drives except the cd drive, i dropped in the 20 gb and created the partitions on it ( C, E,F) everything seemed to install perfectly, but when i dropped it into the xbox i got a msg that i need to contact customer service for repair. Any Ideas? Thanks...

you forgot to lock your hdd most likely, and it should give you an error code on the top left
Error 05 I assume.
Use that xboxhdm disc you created, and I also assume you took your eeprom.bin backup and put it in there, if not, you need to do this, and than you may run the option to lock it, and it should work fine.
Note: some hard drives aren't lockable, and it will tell you if it fails, better hopes this one does. _________________ Xbox v1.1

Ahhhhhhhhh, ok I got the error 05. The thing is I can't seemed to find a way to lock the drive. I ran the xboxhdm locking and unlocking utilities. but i don't know what i'm doing wrong. I have a western digital in the xbox and its a western digital i want to install as well.
