Hey everyone,
i have a softmodded xbox but today i got AID 3 and decided to update with SID 4.5. I was hoping that by doing this i would be able to play games like counter strike that hadnt worked when i was modded with a earlier softmod. I used AID 3 to install SID 4.5 over my other mod. My problem was probably right there but it installed fine. Well, i had heard that SID 4.5 doesnt patch the EEPROM so games like counter strike and tenchu wrath of heaven are playable (those are just two of the games i have that wouldnt boot before). I had everything set up so i popped the counter strike cd into my dvd drive. It said loading counter - strike the screen went black like it was going to boot then it just sat there.
I am assuming that these games wont boot because my EEPROM is still patched because my dvd drive still works perfectly and the games are in mint cond. Can anyone offer me some help with this. I am in complete distress over it. My aim screen name is ddrhater1900, or you could just post some possible help.

SID 4.5 doesn't patch eeprom anymore, but you may do that manually with a PC and ftp access.
Your game issues aren't related with SId 4.5, it's simply that the games need some sort of patching.
Note: I have counter strike for xbox and yes it loads on my SId 4.5 xbox, off HDD and from DVD. _________________ Xbox v1.1

I figured out my problem. The EEPROM backup that i made was still patched and whenever i restored the it it would still be patched. I just reformated my xbox and now it is working fine. But thanks for the response. _________________ kills more noobs then random grenades
