I have a spidergx running the hacked x2 bios, unleashx dash (although evox and the aid both do it too) and everything is dandy, until i try to load a game/app/emulator, the system will either black out, or go to a loading screen (depending on what initiated it) and will not move. I'm well beyond my witts end on this, so any help is greatly appreciated

oh, forgot to mention, the box is a 1.6a with a 120gig hdd

Either your bios version of X2 is a bit old, or some files are corrupt on xbmc, i can't tell cause I can't see it, but my best guess is that you reflash chip with latest bios if you haven't, other than that, I don't really have an answer for this.
You can also check the IDE of the HDD, it might not be correctly in there, and can cause this and sometimes error 07 _________________ Xbox v1.1

the bios ver i have is 5035, any clue what the latest is?

alright, one more question, if you change the bios, everything else should still run, or do i have to reformat?

bios is 1 thing, and hdd is another, and no if you flash new bios, you don't loose any data, and you don't need to format again.
I personally recomend, EvoxM8+ bios, it works like a charm for me, and has never failed me, Just make sure you use the correct version like 1.0-1.5, or the 1.6, i'm sure you know this. _________________ Xbox v1.1

problem solved, this chip just really blows, friend of mine knew exactly how to fix it, thanks for trying to help (don't buy a spidergx!!!)
