hey everyone, as some of you already know my 1.1 died. the bios was erased. i want to take the 1.1 hdd and add it as a second drive to my newer xbox. i have the original backup of a 1.1 as well as many others. but i was wondering if there would be any complications with the difference in versions. i also know i will have to add a switch and Y splitter to the xbox. but how should i go about formatting the 1.1 hdd. could i hook it to my moms pc? i have many programs which i got from xbins, including..hdd prepare,xbox clone,original bioses,linux, and disc wizard from seagate. both hdd's are seagate's, and the working xbox has linux installed with the splinter cell exploit and UnleashX for a dashboard. also i dont have a dvd burner on either computer. so most likely im looking to do most of the work from my mom's pc. thanks for any help you can give me \m/Thor\m/

The forst thing that you need to do is unlock the HDD. If you can get that done then you will be fine.

BTW, to save your 1.1, you can make a homebrew chip. That will allow you to reflash your TSOP. You can also use a LPC mod-chip and not go on live.
