my xbox powers on, the light stays green and does not flash. but when i turn it on, the only thing it shows is a black screen. no flubber effect, no sound. just a black screen. it had a mod chip on it. i took it off. the bios was never flashed or anything. can anyone tell me what it might be?

What were you doing with the xbox when it stopped working?
Check the mainboard for soldier splash with a magnifying glass if yo have to for damage.. There may just be a small splash somewhere shorting out your xbox..
If you have removed your xbox modchip then it cant be the modchip.
Can you give us more information too..
Ill move this topic out into the normal forums so more members can help too.. Its scrolls in the homepage and gets more attention..
i stuck the modchip on it and loaded the slayers autoinstall disk. i planned on modding it permanently, but i wanted to load the programs onto it now just to save time later. when i was done it worked fine. then i took the chip off and put it back on the xbox it came off. i figured when the new chip came all i would have to do would be solder it. i will check to see if any splash got onto the board. i'll keep you posted. ps: where did you move this topic?
