its sid4...but it was a hotswap install....i think it was nknave's HID disc basically....so it might not be exact same as sid4 through memory card.... _________________

I still say that I have the RIGHT solution!
Drop in the retail HDD and Un-Mount the Virtual C, then Backup the EEPROM, then FTP it to your PC and you are done!
how do i unmount the virtual c?
To Un-mount the Virtual C, you need to boot AID 3.0, go to the "Install Softmod" section. Near the bottom of that list you will find "Unmount Virtual C Drive", run that selection. It will take a few seconds then reload AID 3.0. Now you can Re-Backup your EEPROM.(and have the right one for sure ) _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!

Error 6= wrong eeprom locked with, since the xbox cannot unlock with it's own serials.
Error 7= jumper settings most likely, and keep your jumper at CS, no other.
If you got error 6, it defenetly means you used the wrong eeprom. now unlock the hdd with that disc, and get your real eeprom and redo the linux disc or diskette to lock again. _________________ Xbox v1.1

After you get a copy of your EEPROM, then you can Re-SoftMod and it will be fine. _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!
