type y instead of lockhd -a? thats where the problems at....i type "lockhd -a" and it says drive is froze turn off auto detection on primary ide....
since theres no typin yes involved i fail to see how trying y instead would work.... _________________

no just type lockhd -a and then when it says your hd specs then type y .... if it frezes then disable primary ide .... and then re try the process _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

which brings me back to original post....it says hd frozen turn off auto detection in pc bios....
but like i said i dont see away to enter the settings....usually right before it starts detecting drives it says press delete to enter whatever....
this one doesnt have that just turns on goes to some screen and straight to xp.....
so is xboxhd the only program i can use to lock it? do i have to find yet another pc to try it on lol.....this sucks so bad....the drives done just didnt get it locked lol.... _________________

It is not the only other one, the rest just aren't as easy. From xboxhdm, try making choosing number 7 I think(create dos boot disk). From there, reboot with no CD and the boot floppy in. It should boot and you MAY be able to use "lockhd -a", but you may need to use atapwd or unlockx _________________

Disable the HDD detection altogether! make sure that in the channel your HDD is it says 'NONE'! when you boot HDM to will automatically query all of the IDE channels and you shouldn't have that Bios issue! _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!

Yes, it would lock and unlock with the wrong eeprom and the Xbox would not beable to unlock it.
Did you use HDM option 3 and unlockhd -a or a FreeDOS floppy to lock it? _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!
