Did anyone run into an Error page when using the Splinter Cell exploit softmod to mod your Xbox?
Right after I hit the "Check Points" button, the Xbox goes into this "Error" screen saying to contact Microsoft Customer Service and the green light on the Xbox flashes red. It doesn't permanently affect the Xbox though, I just turn it off and on again and the game works fine. It's just when I try to hit the "Check Points" button after I load the save into the game.
ANyone know what's wrong? I'm trying to softmod using the latest version of AID which includes everything, including the gamesaves for all three Xbox game exploits.
PLEASE HELP!!!

Sounds to me like the game saves are corrupt, and its possible that the xbox itself has corrupt files. Do you have a copy of Halo 2 or some newer XBL game? Most will update your MS files and should prepare what is needed. Are you able to try the same files on another xbox? If it booted successfully it would indicate that the files themselves are ok, but your xbox is not. only these 2 things...
1( u added only 1 file when its 2 files.... linux + game save exploit
2( game saves are currpted....
and greeven : ms dash isnt damage so no point in halo 2 to put ms dash back... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

If you`re un-zipping the files and moving the 21585554 folder and the
5553000c folder to your memory card it should work.
( make sure your using sid 4.0 or 4.5 )

Move them via memory card. Softmod using game exploits like splinter is when you disguise the linux and sid file as a splinter game save on your memory card and copy to hardrive game saves. Boot up splinter load the game save you disguised and it will boot and install sid, then you can install aid.

Yes, I have Halo 2. If the Xbox has corrupt files, which files would that be?
Not able to try it on another Xbox, only have 1 at the moment.
I'm able to boot up the Xbox and play any game perfectly fine without any problems whatsoever.

1. I used the Action Replay software to load the game save exploit onto the USB stick, but I was a zip file, so I don't really know what it added. But I didn't load two seperate files. Maybe that could be the problem. If so then what other file do I add? When I went to the Splinter Cell game save load menu, it said Linux
2. Maybe, but I really don't know. I've used 2 different game saves from two different programmers, and both didn't work.

I'm using the Action REplay software and I'm not directly loading the zip files onto my USB memory stick. I'm assuming that the action replay software unzips the files and loads it onto the memory stick as the required files.
Actually I can't copy anything over to the USB stick once the Xbox formats it. The only way I can seem to add anything is the game saves through the Action Replay software for the PC.
BTW, I loaded the Action Replay drivers onto the USB memory stick, so now it acts as a memory card/Action Replay unit.
Also I used SID 4.5

Where do I download just the game save exploit and the linux installer without having to redownload the whole AID package? That thing is over 700mb.

halo 2 is not going to help lol as ur ms dashboad works 100%
its your 2 files that arent responding.. if ur missing 1 of those 2 files you wil get temporaly error 21 ......
solution: sid 4.5 has 2 files one is called linux launcher and the gamesave which would corespond to the actual game you have.....
if you are using a mem card then the files will be ziped into on to 1 zip ... drag this zip to mem card....
if you downloaded aid 3 and got the sid4.5 files from their then extrac sid4.5 and then grab the coresponding files.....

Okay, let me describe in exact detail every step that I took to get to the point that I got to so hopefully someone can figure out exactly what I did wrong.
1. I downloaded the 735 AID 3.0 RAR file from www.aideluxe.com
2. Extracted the file to my desktop which created the \Auto.Installer.Deluxe.v3.0.Xbox-Hq folder
3. Downloaded USBView.exe
4. Hooked up my USB Sandisk 256MB memory stick to the XBOX, verified it has the MS 5960 version dashboard, and the Xbox automatically formatted the USB stick for me.
5. Following the extact tutorials found either on this site or the xbox-scene.com I hooked up the now Xbox formatted USB memory stick to my computer and opened it up with USBView.exe
6. Copied down the idVendor and idProduct number
7. Downloaded and extracted the Action Replay software.
8. Went to the Action Replay software and copied the xbreader.inf file to the desktop.
9. Opened up the xbreader.inf file with notepad and replaced the VID_ digits with the idVendor digits, and the PID_ digits with the idProduct digits on the first line only and saved the file.
10. Went into my Device Manager and updated the Xbox formatted USB driver to the xbreader.inf file. While doing so, the computer prompted me for the Action Replay sys file, so I pointed it to the proper directory on my hard drive and it installed properly.
11. I then proceeded to go to the \Auto.Installer.Deluxe.v3.0.Xbox-Hq\Tools\SID 4.5 Nknave Edition folder and copied the SID45.NK.Loader.SplinterCell.NTSC.zip to the Action Replay Saves directory on my hard drive.
12. Opened up the Action Replay software and then copied the file save, which says LINUX, to the USB memory stick.
13. After the file finished copying to the memory stick, I removed it, and then hooked it up to the XBOX and then copied the gamesave over onto my XBOX hard drive.
14. When that was done, I then turned off the Xbox and then turned it back on and loaded the Splinter Cell game. *Note: I made sure that this was the original version of Splinter Cell and not the GIY or Platinum Edition game.
15. With the game loaded up, I proceeded to go into the load games and loaded the Linux game save.
16. On the next screen, I hit the "Check Points" tab and that is when the game or system now takes me to the Micrsoft Error screen in all green lettering, with Chinese at the bottom half.
Hopefully this is in enough detail to figure out where I when wrong. Thanks for all the sugestions everyone is giving me. I really apprciate the help.

Looks to me like you did everything right. Best I can recommend is try gettings another download(the torrent file) and try those. See of you can get any different results.
Wait a minute... did you copy the installer file as well? You need two save game entries in your xbox: splintercell and installer. If you have just the splintercell, it will try to access files that are not there, and might do this. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

You know what, that is what I think that I did wrong! I just finally thought of after I wrote that last post. I only copied the gamesave, but I didn't copy that launcher file also. Unfortuantely the tutorial I was reading to do so said to copy 2 files, but listed 1 file twice, and not two different files. That's where I got confused and just thought it was only 1 file. Hopefully that is the problem so I'll go ahead and load both files and then post the results, so this could be a good learned lesson for everyone else that might run into this problem.
Man afterwards, I will write ONE DIFINITIVE guide that will explain step by step, and with pictures, so everyone can softmod their Xbox using the gamesave explort method.

I told you and i asked you how many files did you put? there is 2 files... you got 1 file correct and the 2nd was the linux loader... lol lets see how many times i said and asked if you had 2 files shall we ?

oh and do this ... once you put both files then put game and POWER IT OFF WITH GAME INSIDE and turn it back on with game inside
