I have a 1.4 Xbox that I have successfully flashed to the X2 bios using the 007 Raincoat 0.5 exploit. I am running the Avalaunch 0.49.3, which I installed using AID 3. DVD movies read fine, as well as all my original games, but I can't get backup games to read. I have a friend with the same Xbox version who has also done a TSOP flash with the same size bios, although I'm almost certain he flashed with the Raincoat 0.7 (which I couldn't seem to find). He is also running Avalaunch 0.49.3, and the backup reads perfectly. The only difference that I can think of is the newer raincoat. Here are all the specs I can think of: Xbox vers 1.4; bios x2 4981.06 (256KB) flashed with the Evo-x 007 Raincoat 0.5 (Eurasia method); Dashboard: Avalaunch 0.49.3 (installed with AID 3). I doubt that it is the media (Sony DVD+R 16x disc) since DVD movie backups that are written on the same media play just fine, not to mention the fact that my buddy's box reads this very disc that mine won't.

------SOOOOOO--------
Will I need to Flash my bios again to get it to read backups? Is there a tool somewhere on AID 3 that might help me figure out what's going on? Should I try backing up another game to see if it might be the particular copy? Should I steal my friend's Xbox when he's not looking? Thanks in advance for your replies.

Sorry to waste everyone's time...it turns out I have a Samsung drive and the movie backup working must have been a fluke.

I would, however, like to know what the difference is between Raincoat 0.5 and 0.7. I made the BIOS in XBTOOL before flashing, so using the out of date version wouldn't effect the bios itself, right?
