Okay blazer...so I have configured both computers. By configure I mean I have named them (different names, this time:), given them the same workgroup names and connected them with my CAT6 crossover cable. When I try to access the other computer I am coming up emptyhanded. I go into "my workgroups" and which ever computer I am working on at that time is the only computer to show in "my workgroups" I know that if I find a way to link both together in the workgroups, then I can start accessing my documents from my laptop. Problem is, the only thing that seems to be linking them is the cable alone...No networking yet.
