Hey Guys,
I've been messing with soft mods for at least a year now and stumbled across an issue I've never seen before. I'm hoping someone can help.
I just did a 1.6 for a friend of mine using ndure knave 4.5 - Mechassult exploit, a samsung drive, and AID 3.0. I used XBMC 2006-02-21 as a dash. Seemed to work fine as always.
However, upon testing I found that certain emulators will not display video properly - particularly the xport ones - when used with component video cables and my Sony SXRD. Normal AV cables put through another Sony TV worked fine.
I have an earlier softmod exploit(not sure whcih one as I didn't do it) installed on another xbox and the same emulators work fine through the high-def cables and the SXRD TV.
Anyone have any ideas?

No. I've had them for a while but I've only really been using them extensively for the last few months.

ok so what ur looking at is u need the hd pack from aid 3...
some softmods didnt supprt hd .... and i know u need the hd pack from aid 3 disc as u already metioned that it displays with regular a/v cables...
so ur solution is to run aid 3 and click on the hd pack... install it configure it and ur good ..... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

You might want to check those cables though... Sometimes it is the simplest things that do it.

hmm...
I tried to run the HD patch from both the exploit and the disk. It asks if I want to install it, then a split second later asks if I want to disinstall it. I then figured it was already installed.
Is there a separate HD pack somewhere other than the 'patch'?

I am actually writting a huge step-by-step-prettymuch-dummyproof tutorial on how I do softmod and hdd upgrades using my Chipped Xbox. Right now it is at 13 pages and I am maybe 2/3rds done with it. But I have a small unofficial tut for you that I had written in an earlier post. This will be incorporated in my final tutorial...
You have to use a little tool called Xbpartitioner, It sets the size of your hdd partitions. I use it all the time when I softmod and works great, download it from the usual places, or get it off of the AID disk. When you have it on your box run the program and at the screen press start, then you will see 2 windows ( one on top of the other ) the top window shows your C: E: X: Y: Z:, the bottom window shows your F:/G: drive. Move the highlighted portion to the bottom screen and press the "A" button untill it shows the top partition in the bottom window at about 200Gigs, then press start to write table and format partition. A screen will pop up asking if you are sure you want to continue, just press the "Y" button to continue and it will Write and Format the partition. Make sure if you have anything loaded on the F: partition that you back it up to your pc first because it will wipe the entire F: clean. Now you will experience the hdd's full capacity.

well u see the nkpatcher system was never complied to run in hd u have to configre its source code... but umm tell me this
if u can run the hd cables and on ur settings > video > what option is enabled? 480 p 720??? or which 1??? if it isnt enabled then ur being displayed @ ed tv... which is normal a/v even thou pluged in hd cables.... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

Hey gus738,
I've tried just about ever combination of video settings on the xbox dash and even had them mimic the one xbox I have that does work fine. No luck.
The only thing I can think of is that it has something to do with this softmod and/or something is wrong with the video conversion on the board. The only differences between the 2 are teh xbox version and the softmod version.
I gave up on this one but if anyone has any other suggestions, I'll be watching this post for the next one.
I really need to play with this new version of ndure a little more...

By the way, TREFALKM, looks like a nice tut on xbpartitioner. That's one program that scared me when I first looked at it. I'll have to check it out now with your tut the next time I'm feeling brave.

Well some emulators work and some dont, from what ive learned. Some xboxes just need certain configuring in the emulators settings to get it to work right. _________________
