great to have another hard core xboxer around..
Seems your really familiar with forums too which is good.. Not like most users..
Im a web designer and have been for over 5 years now.. I live in Newcastle, Australia and mod tonnes of xboxes in my spare time (weekends normally)..
Ive know alot since i started when the enigmah first came out!! (my first mod was 29 wires).
Great to see your starting a modding business.. Hopefully our members from your area will visit your store..!!
If your business does go to plan you could always advertise with us too.. We are getting quite large now..

To get full advantage of all the features of Aladdin Advance 32 & 64 you need to solder all four wires + the 8 pins.
The "Aladdin+" is a souped up Aladdin Advance 32, but requires only three of the wires.

Hi All,
Does anyone know if the Aladdin advance 64 will work on a v1.6 xbox?
Does it just need an updated BIOS flashed to it?
Just trying to use up some advance chips I have here rather than buying more in at the moment.

It may depend on if you have a good clone, bad clone or an original.
from what I see at DVD Console.. they sell Aladdin XT which is of course a blatant clone of the ALaddin Live...(except they haven't managed a decent programmer copy yet hehehe).
The Lattice chip on the Aladdin chips needs special modifications for the 1.6.
It won't cost you anything to try. If it doesn't work, leaves the wires in place and cheange the chip for one that will work, at least you won't have to solder to the motherboard twice.
I can sell you a chip that does work for US$ 10 plus shipping if you require.

Tried it out as suggested by Aladdin and it work!! Installed the extra 5 wires to LPC, and installed chip as on earlier versions. EvoX BIOS loaded.
As far as I can tell it is an original Aladdin 64 chip.
Thanks Aladdin.
