A friend of mine "a single parent with very little money" asked me to set them up with a DUN "dun = dialup networking". I was going to set them up with a free DUN but since they live in the next town over, I was like geeeze I'll have to run over there everytime their DUN quits working. So....I started looking for something cheap. At first everything I found was in the $10 range. Then I found one for $4.94 a month. It says unlimited, but after reading the fine print I saw that there's a 400 hour limit per month. I did a little math and found that to be 14.28 hours a day, not bad. Also has pop mail, web mail,no crappy software to install, and you can pay in one month, six months, one year and two year intervals with no contract. So, I thought I'd give them a try.
I called my friend and told her about it. I told her I'd pay for the first month "hell, it's only $5" and we'd test it out. After a few days she called me back and said it was working great, when I had time come by and pick up $10 for the next two months.
So far so good. They're called Dialup.cc, you can find their web site here:
http://www.dialup.cc/
ps - On the web site it says "Due to the additional cost of our toll free support, effective March 31 the new price for standard dialup will be $5.94 per month. However, users that are currently using our service will be grandfathered in to our current $4.94 account for the lifetime of their account." Still cheap, but if you want it for less than $5 best be getting it soon. Hope this helps somebody out. _________________ Xbox - 1.4 Halo SE
