No, it just says "xbox" and sits there. I can only play the games when its in the dvd tray when I turn the power on.

Yes it was but I can't check or delete the saves or anything saved on my xbox. I think the recovery screwed my xbox up.

If you can boot games, try booting your exploit game and reinstalling the softmod. If you deleted your save games, you may need to hotswap, but if you deleted the save game but have a backup of your eeprom, use xboxhdm to rebuild your C: _________________

K, so here is what you do:
If you made a complete, working backup of your C:, then great. If not, look for a post by Pirrup, check his signature, and download the MS Dash files. Whichever you have, we'll call "your dash".
Assuming you have windows and CD-Burner:
Download xboxhdm http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/download-file-1138.html. Extract the files somewhere, and then navigate to that directory. Go into the Linux directory, and then copy "your dash" into the C directory, and put your eeprom.bin file into eeprom. Go to the root directory, double click make-iso-win.bat and it should produce a .iso file. Burn this file to a CD. Leave the cd in the drive, and turn off your computer. See your cables so that the CD drive is on the secondary IDE channel. Remove the HDD from your xbox, set the jumper on the drive to master, connect to to the IDE on your primary slot, and then boot the computer. Edit your bios to boot from cd's, and then reboot. You should be greeted after a bit with a little ASCII title. Type 3 I beleive(to use locking/unlocking features), and unlock the drive. Once it is unlocked, reboot, type 1, and when asked to login, type xboxhd. You can then repair C, exit, reboot, and lock using option 3. Drop that HDD back into the xbox and it should work fine. If I missed a step, someone correct me. Refer to http://xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials-161.html for a better guide, but it is for a hotswap, so you will have to unlock and then lock again.
I hope this helps, and its not making your head explode. _________________
