Can some one please tell me how to change my eeprom without oeping the xbox etc.
After much trouble and help from you guys (thanks) i mnaged to unistall al lthe softmods on my cpu and get it sorted.
But now i think im banned form xbox live so is there anyway to sort my eeprom out?

You will have to load up the savegame exploit again just to the point that you can ftp into your xbox. You dont need to install the softmod at all, you just need to ftp. You will have to get a non-banned EEPROM.bin and EEPROM.cfg from somewhere and have it in a file named NEWEEPROM(Don't ask where you can get one)
1. Go get Configmagic and ftp it into E:/Apps on the box. In the filemanager look in the Apps folder and open up Configmagic, run the .xbe
2. Hit the Start button and choose "Make backup" or "Backup EEPROM" I dont remember what it is called exactly. which will make a backup of the eeprom you are currently using.
3. Exit Configmagic, it should bring you back to the softmod menu. Ftp back into your box in the E:/ drive. You should now see the EEPROMBackup.bin, EEPROMBackup.cfg, and EEPROMBackup.txt. All you want is the EEPROMBackup.bin/.cfg files. Save them in a folder on your desktop named BEFORE.
4. Now, while you are still ftp'd into your box, open up your NEWEEPROM file with the eeprom.bin/.cfg on your PC and ftp those files (not the folder, just the files) into E:/Apps/Configmagic/data
5. After you have put the files in the data folder. Using your xbox, start up Configmagic by running the .xbe through the file manager
6. While in Configmagic you will need to follow these steps... I am not responsible if you dont follow my directions exactly.
a. Unlock HD
b. Load EEPROM from .bin file
c. Update Xbox EEPROM
d. Load Xbox EEPROM
e. Lock hd
7. Exit Configmagic and shut down your xbox, remove the game and then you can delete the exploited save game.

thanks mate i guees the problem now is finding all those things and ftping my xbox as it was a bicth last time and owuldnt let me do it no matter how hard i tried lol

You can also link your xbox to your router and enable DHCP in the network settings of unleashx, restart the xbox to unleashx, then just type in ftp://xbox:xbox@192.168.x.xxx <<<<<your xbox IP Adress in a M$ Explorer window and edit the files like that. Then you wouldn't need flashfxp or any other ftp program to deal with. That is, if you have a router. I dont know where you can get an eeprom, and as far as I know you shouldnt be talking about it here... as for the other file you were refering to, xbin, I think you were talking about the eeprom.bin and eeprom.cfg files which is the actual eeprom, it consists of those two files. You can get Configmagic off of AID. If you were talking about the .xbe, that is the actual program that runs like a computers .exe file. To run Configmagic after you have ftp'd it on your box you would use the file manager and open your E:/Apps/Configmagic folder and scroll down until the default.xbe is highlited, then just hit the A button. Doesn't he need both a new eeprom and new hardrive because doesn't microsoft ban both the hard drive and eeprom from xbox live? If that is correct, when you change your eeprom, the new one will be banned when you sign on because you still have a banned hard drive..

I'm pretty sure he just needs a new eeprom. But, I have never used Live before so I have never had the pleasure of finding out.
