So I have already softmodded my box and it seems as though it works. I have been having trouble with my dvd2xbox though. I realized that I softmodded with SID version 2 for Splinter Cell. Now that there is a SID 4 version, would I benefit from resoftmodding with the 4th version? If so, would that help with my xbox2dvd problem (evox.ini situation I think). In order for me to resoftmod, do I go back to the M$dash, reload the new version of SID through the action replay, and follow the regular steps? Do I have to delete any softmod files that are currently on my xbox to free up space for the new version? Thanks in advance for any and all help.

If it's not broken, don't fix it.

But if you want to upgrade, do the following.

-ftp your ms dash files to E:\backup\MS\ if you don't have the backup.
-put new SID 4.5 gamesaves in there, and run the following.

1.- backup eeprom
2.- skip the MS Backup, since your ms dash was ftp'ed
3.- install softmod>boot>dash

Viola, your done, and enjoy SID 4.5

but wait, after you power off and power back on, you'll see 1 last finish screen, where it will format your virtual partition, and install ms dash to it.

that way your ms dash files are untouched, and your real softmod files are hidden so you don't accidently mess with them, and end up with a "error ??" code xbox.

Cheers
