FIRST I WOULD LIKE TO INTRODUCE BY SAYING : HI
here it goes :
i owned an xbox and for about 2 years i was a happy guys and had lots of games (your usual gamer freak) then sh#t git f#cked up and i lost my job i had to sell all my game and everything i bought for my xbox dvd-kit my 3 controllers etc. so i only stayed with halo 2 and one controller and my subcription which i still have about 6 months left.
so my friend came around 2 weeks ago and told me about the greatness of xbox softmod and charge me 50 bucks to intall the evox and install me a 60 gb drive to it. so now am happy because all the goody goodies that comes with it.
here is the problem i cant connect to xbox live and i really missed halo 2 i mean i was a level 37 in team slayer and improving i mean i was really good i think. I WANT HALO 2 ONLINE BACK
i really missed halo 2 and xbconnet or nkai is just not same.

i did my research and figure out how to install the soft mod transfer files and all that stuff and now i really feel stupid for giving him that money. he told me that i cant connect to xbox live with the soft mod i cant afford to buy a new box just to play halo. I HATED STANDBYERS, MODDERS AND LAGGERS so i am not planning to use any trainers i just wanna play halo online and thats it
so i did some more research and i found out that if i used a program called (dual boot) Ndures i can play online the thing is im not really sure if this is true and if it is how do i do it where do i get it etc.
i google this to see what i would get but i was searching for an hour and couldnt find an answer so i decided to ask the expierence people by that i mean you guys i am a newbie and i hope this question is not stupid.
i have evox and a 60bg drive my question are these
can I really use (dual boot) Ndures to play online?
If so how? consider explaining in detail since am new to this
and if it work where do i get it? irq mirc or torrent

Dude!!!!!! I know just how you feel. My "friend" charged me 30 dollars just to install the softmod. I go home and try to sign on live and I get an error 21. Thank god because I was so close to getting banned from XBL. Anyways, I talked to him only to find out that that you can't sign on live with a softmod. I was so disappointed because I was a 38 also at the time and i didn't play for long time because what could i do ya noe..... I can't uninstall it because I payed 30 bucks for it. So i did the exact same thing you did buddy. I researched and stayed up long and hard and with my friends here at Xbox-HQ learned so much about xbox modification. Anyways, I'm sure you're sick of hearing me talk about myself and get straight to the point. Softmod Installer Deluxe 4.0 and 4.5 both have the ndure feature. Basically, this program lets you dualboot your system so that you'll boot the softmod if the dvd tray is closed at startup and you'll boot the regular dash for live if the dvd tray is opened when you start up. To you, I recommend 4.0 because it automatically does everything for you and 4.5 might be kind of complicated. Of course, you need to uninstall your current softmod first. Here's a link to 4.5.

now if i knew that i could just download the games to my computer using the samba share feature i would have never installed the 60gb hd anyways THANKS dude i ow you one

I have a question again sorry
if i uninstall the softmod and install it again with the sid 4.0 with the 60gb harddrive and lets say i wanna connect online and i turn it on with the open tray and it brings me to the original ms dashboard
would the xbox crash because the harddrive is change ? do i have to take the harddrive out and install the original back?

The xbox will not crash just because the hard drive has changed. The MS bios still thinks that its a regular hard drive. You don't have to take it out or put it back. However, if you were on live with the stock hard drive, then u might wanna consider reflashing your eeprom because you will get banned from XBL. It might also be smart to ask your friend if he made a backup of the regular ms files because you'll be uninstalling ur dash then installing back nothing in its place.

i can totaly feel how you are and i wanna assure you that im going to get u back whr u were on a personal tour to all the softmodin stuff.
first let me say im gus738 ... ever1 knows me here hehehe....
now sid 4.0 is what u need ... but u need to properly uninstall what ever softmod u have.....
to do this grab xed ( under cabbot signiture) and burn it so xbox reads it .... then u do
1( uninstall all softmods , choose 1 of 2 optinos... nkpatcher then uninstall it but its going to ask to turn off D NOT!!! yet... then install ms dash files 5960 .... then its ok to turn off...
NOTE : we are unisntall it if u have 1 of the 3 exploitable games .... 007 agent under fire , sc or ma ... and a way of transferin files bettwen pc and xbox.. and this device is called ar = auction replay max...
the ar cost 30 the game ( u need 1) about no more then 15....
their is also anoter way of doing this ... but if u dont have these things let me know here on this thread... so we can try an alternative way...
