Sup, I got this 20gb hd I was gonna throw in my xbox, but apparently the hd isnt lockable according to the lockable hd list on this site, so im just gonna throw it in my comp, do i need to do anything special to get it to read the HD _________________ "Pain has a face, allow me to show it to you."

not really mate just go into your pc bios make sure the bios detects the drive save the settings then reboot your machine
if you have win xp let windows start then right click my computer and select manage from the options this will start management console.
select disk management you should see the new disk as disk 1 ( c: drive being drive 0) right click the new drive and select format let that finish and your new drive is all up and running hope this helps bud.

I install my old 10gig xbox hard drive in a Gateway Astro 400 today. Dunno why, but it tickles my funny bone.....xbox hard drive in a Gateway...HaHaHa.....I'm ok...hehe....hahaha...oh damn.... _________________ Xbox - 1.4 Halo SE

i have sort of the same problem i have an old computer hard drive and i want to get the files off of it by pluggin it into my computer so than i can use it in my xbox.
