hi well i have an xbox that works perfectly fine but lately i noticed that when i plug the network cable to the adapter i dont get signal so i have to move the cable so it can get signal
now my question is can it be just be that is damage period? or can i open it up and off the m/b and replace it with anoter one i have here?
or its just miss fitted? because i just move the adaptaer with the cable a little and it gets signal again... so its like its sensitibe .... or soitn ... any ideals would be greate
I've seen your post before and I'm sure you checked; but you tested the cable, right?
If so, maybe the connections on the box are getting a little loose and I bet you could replace it with one off an old network card. _________________ xbox v1.0 - DuoX 2 - Seagate 160GB - caught fire and is no more

What kind of adapter? wireless? or are you talking about the ethernet cord that plugs directly to your xbox? Trying to picture the situation. Your lan port on the mobo itself could have come loose. If you look in it, are the pins straight? You might have to solder a new one in there. _________________

yes its the card on the back of the xbox where the ethernet cable goes in .... and i saw it loosen a bit more then other xbox so what i need to do?
i have a spare network that i dont know how to take off and i know how to open xbox and i done it before...

I'm assuming you can do the old take them apart together thing. Take the xbox apart and just look at how you took off the first one. Then do the same on the second one. Other that that I would have no clue. _________________

Hey gus, you will need to desolder if you want to swap it out. The two black post are just to keep it from moving too much. If you were local, I would do it for free. It is a little tricky, and would find a pro if you don't think you could do it. _________________
