Alright. I used SID 4.0 to sofmod on a 1.6 xbox using mechassault. the softmod went flawlessly... the first time...
Then, my brother, in his infinite wizdom, decided that the sofmod had to go...he has yet to give me an explanation... f**king little brothers... I can't wait till I'm out of the house!
ANYWAY, here's my 2 problems:
1. Now that the Xbox has been unsoftmodded, i can't RESOFTMOD it... it says something about the save file (sid 4.0 ["Run Linux"]) to be an invalid gamesave. I have tried re-uploading the file to my xbox multiple times, via memory card, with sid 4.0 AND 4.5. Has the mechassault exploit somehow been patched now that i've run it once? I need help!
2. Most games run fine, except for a few which are laggy, for example: Halo 2. Everything seems fine until I try to start a game. the countdown goes down to 1. but THEN, it takes about 2 to 3 minutes to load. I'm pretty sure this is a Cache problem. I just need to know exactly where the cache is, or if this is really the problem.

x y z and e/cache ........ for the game .. it should fix the problem...
im stil wonderin why did he wanted to unmoded the xbox????? lol....

1) x, y, z, e... so i just wipe those folders? that wouldnt be too hard.
2) As for why he did it... as i said, he hasn't told me. most likely because he knows the reason is so stupid that i'd beat him to a pulp...
3) Yes. i delted them, shut down the xbox, then renamed the files and reloaded them. I got the same error. "This is an invalid gamesave blah blah blah..."

NOOOO not E i said E/cache !!! under E there is a folder called cache ... delete the contents of the inside of x y z and cache... not the whole folders! _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

Although, as of present, i have no way of FTPing my xbox, being as it's not softmodded.
If anybody has any ideas of why the softmod wont work again (the second problem in the first post) please share, i really would like to fix this problem, or atleast figure out what's wrong.
Any ideas?
EDIT: I do believe there is a backup of my HD...on my HD, lol... at the end of the softmod, it said i'd have to delete those files manually, so i assume it's all still there.

if ur xbox is working fine then check how many hacked files u have ? u should have 2 .... i would re download a fresh new 1s and put them again.. but once u have new 1s delete the old 1s... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition
