Posted: Fri Feb 03, 2006 6:14 am Post subject: CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHY MY PC IS FREEZING UP?
My pc is on my last nerve and about to be whacked, can anyone tell me why my pc is freezing up? I am running xp and have heard a ton of different possibilities as to why it may be freezing, ive spent the past 6 days trying to get this damn thing to connect to my xbox, everytime i connect my NIC to my router the pc freezes, i dont know why, and its bugging the hell out of me to finally be this close to success, but continuously failing, if anyone can tell me why its freezing and what to do to remedy this i will be eternally in ur debt _________________ "Pain has a face, allow me to show it to you."

I am guessing your nic card works normally since you posted here. I would try uninstalling the card via the device manager then reinstall to refresh the drivers and also look at the manufacturers site to see if you are using the latest drivers. If this doesn't work, try plugging the nic in another slot or replace it with a new card.
Also test plugging into other ports on the router. _________________ Regards,
