I'm helping out someone who is having issues with their X2 chip. This is a quote for the original post
"when i turn the chip off my xbox is fine to play normal but when you turn the chip back on it flash red then i reboot after a while it load up with evox and plays fine "
The screen is blank when it frag's. My guess, it might be a bios problem....what say you?

Interesting, very interesting, it could be the bios, but I have some questions, How long has he had the bios in his xbox? What version is his xbox and bios? _________________

i have the same problem except whin i turn on the chip the screen stays black and nothing happens.Its wierd because the system turn on and off about three times and then the system stays on and flashes red and green.It does it on both banks.I have a 160 gig hard drive does that have anything to do with it?
