I just d/l AID 3 and had a few ?'s, When i opened the folder I saved in there are 20 some rar files. Why is this and what one do I extract?
Also, I would like to update the dash and app.s on my box, Which is currently set up w/ AID 2. Do I need delete the old stuff or can it be over written? One more thing, I would love to use xselect, What drive should it be installed on, and what drive should the dashboards be on and do the dashboards need Tobe installed as dashboards or app.s

yes there are many files but all you need to do is extract one of them(preferably the last one). Once you do that, you just use the iso updater that was d/led with AID. then just add in the addon packs you want to the iso. No you don't need to delete your apps or dashes. All you need to do is go to your dashes and look for updates and upgrades. But as far as regular apps. it just depends on if there is a newer version than on the previous AID installer. But about the xselct, I use it too and I just put it with all my major apps and dash folders(E folder). well if you have a bigger hdd or chip it will all depend. I would suggest E drive if retail, but if you have a bigger hard drive then maybe on that one. But you can install as many dashes as you want. It won't matter as long as you have already set your default dash to what you want. Then you should seem good to go.

I have a chipped box, duox2, and a large HDD. I installed xselect to E w/ evox as my default dash installed on C. When evox loaded, I have no way of accessing xselect. I can launch it through boxplorer, which is listed as evoxdash.xbe. then I dont know what to do with it.

quick question, didn't know where to post
i installed using aid3 (alot more complicated than 2.11 I might add) and it works great. i haven't used it for about 2-3 days since then but now when i turn on the box it goes to msdash instead of my evox dash, i can press quick-reset and it shoots me to evox so it's no big problem, just wondering if anyone had any idea of this problem?

well to answer hustler's questions, if u installed xselect to where you apps and main mod stuff is, then if you have no disc in, it should pop upsaying press a button on non thumbstick button to continue. Once you do, search your dashes or apps and set it up the way you want to load and the quick apps you want to go straight to.
Now sydam, make sure you have your evox dash as the main dash. If it is you probably have your settings so m$dash will boot with tray open. You can change this in your AID disk or if u used sid's you can use it. Make sure evox is your official bootup dash.

i just watched a show with xbmc and went to go and fix it after and now it boots to evox fine lol
must be some bug in my box or something

oh ,heh. i was just watching the new supernatural, epp. 15 i think, maybe 14
i have no idea what fixed it, maybe it was too cold and didn't feel like working right before, no idea lol
i just spent about 3 hours prior to that getting an x3 chip back up and running, i swapped eeproms with an old xbox and it didn't like it, took forever n a day to fix
