alright my hdd fried got chip and hdd everything installed and its working can i lock my hdd and go online or will xbox live detect my new hdd and ban me or do i need a new eeprom that has'nt been online swicth them on the motherboard then lock the hdd better yet is there a way to change it without unsolder from the motherboard like reprogram it or like flash it and i noticed that there are a few apps that earse your eeprom what exactly dose this do
have'nt played online for awhile and wont to play matchmaking my year account is wasting away x-link just isnt live would it be better to find a 1.6motherboard and matched hdd and replace it or should i just buy a xbox just for live i like my xbox with so much into it i would like to turn the chip off and go online any respones would be great

if you used a previous hd to use xbox live then this 1 wont work but if u never run hd on xbl then it should allow you.... u need retail files so that means NO BACKUPS or mods or such thing...
u need sid4 dual boot=retail.... that way u run retail mode and everything is fine. _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition
