i was just wondering as I am planning on softmodding an xbox for a friend, if i could swap his harddrive into my chipped xbox, then ftp the 007 gamesave and the launcher onto his harddrive. then put his hd back into his xbox, go rent 007 and would it work.
im just wondering if I have to get him to buy Action Replay or if this will work, or if im missing something that makes this a bad idea.

why not just get the gamesaves on a memory card, put the saves on the virgin xbox and rent the game to mod? _________________ Xbox v1.1

but what i said was, i dont want to have to buy an Action Replay (memory card or usb).

i think you need to read other posts manuals and tutorials as i have if you ftp the gamesave and launcher data to the UDATA folder on edrive you can then upload to memory card from the chipped xbox otherthan that you could look for i believe krayzies pc softmod wich would require you to hot swap the hard drive

ya i tried to swap the hard drive and it gave me a HDD error either 06 or 07.
I never thought of ftping it to the chipped xbox and uploading it to a memory card. That could be really cheap. How would u get the data onto the the memory card from the chipped xbox though, like what program would you use, and in what form does the gamesave/launcher need to be in. by this i mean should I put a UDATA folder onto the memory card and then the other folders in it, or just put the folders (ex. 4541000d) straight onto the card.
