Hey guys, this is baffling me, how do add a new version of XBMC, one that uses the new shortcut system for the xbe, to AID? Do I have to rename to xbe still prior to creating the new iso? Or is it even possible? Thanks

I think xbmc can be updated while ur in it. I am not entirely sure. It works for all dashboards though.

Thanks for replying, but how exactly is that done? I have tried FTP'ing into it and uploading a newer edition, but all that did was give me a frozen screen at the XBMC splash screen, any other help is greatly appreciated...

XBMC cannot update it self.

To update it, download the version that you want and extract it to your PC. Delete all XBMC files from your xbox via ftp, and delete all the xbmc gamesaves from your save menu. Then FTP the updated files to your xbox.

Tried that, like I said before, when I did that, it gave me a frozen screen at the XBMC T3CH splash screen. You cannot simply copy it over....whatever the softmod does to xbe and stuff makes it different when copying over the default.xbe files. Can anyone point me to the right tutorial on how to add a new version of XBMC to the AID iso file? Thanks,

Dreamer

It can't be done? Funny, I've done it.

And I quote config.xm from AID3.4:
Code:
<List Icon="D:\Icons\Dash\xbmc.png" Text="Retail HDD (E)" Sort="Off" Batch="True">

Finished. Press OK to continue.
</List>

If you want to update AId extract it, update the files accordingly, and then recreate the xiso.
