Ok I am trying to get my Xbox connected to my pc, problem is i cannot for the love of god get my ethernet card or my network card to work for shit, i am running zoomtown and i have a Westell 6110 dsl modem, im running that throught the usb connection on the modem there is also a ethernet port on my modem and i tried hooking my xbox up to the modem itself, is it at all possible to connect it thru my modem or does anyone have any way of getting my ethernet card or network card to work? please help me before i go crazy

A crossover cable is basically a standard lan cable that has a few wires switched around so instead of having router you can connect 2 computers together so they can comunicate with each other and a xbox is basically a computer so you need a crossover cable to directly link your xbox to your computer, you can pick one up at your local radio shack or computer store. _________________

the only problem is that i have been looking for the drivers for these damn cards all day and havent came up with anything......

i believe that my network card is a 3com if that helps at all.....a buddy of mine is tryin to get it to work through connecting my xbox through the ethernet port on my modem, and running a program called cuteftp but its not working out do you know anything about this?

i found about 10 pages of drivers for a 3com network card you got a product number or something else to narrow it down _________________

i think its old im runnin it on windows 98 so im pretty sure its an older card i think the model might be 3Com Etherlink 10/100 PCI TX NIC (3C905B-TX) but im not 100% sure about that
