Does it matter which version of xbox eeprom i use.
Like say i have a banned eeprom. And i get another one online, would it matter which version it was from? like say 1.0 eeprom into a 1.6 box?

I believe they have to match...meaning if you have a 1.1 you need 1.1 eeprom....if you were banned i also believe you need to replace your hard drive...later. _________________ Xbox V1.6

Since your eeprom is banned, you will have to install a new hard drive also. I have an xbox eeprom and hard drive that match that aren't banned that I will gladly sell to you......

Ok, so if i have an eeprom from a 1.1 box and i have a banned 1.1 eeprom could i switch the eeproms then? or would i still have to switch out the hard drive?
P.s. thanks for the offer but it's actually for someone i sold an eeprom to (which now im going to have to refund.)
