hi xbox hq members i'm new to this site and i have a important question to ask, i am a compleat newbie to the xbox and i want it moddin!
a friend of a friend said to me that theres no need to have your xbox opened up anymore and have a chip put in, you can instead chip it via software using a pc . my mate has had his done and when he turns it on he gets this site name at the top of the screen! is this a good mod to do? is it better than having a hardware chip fitted? is it stable? and will it play all modded games?
please could you reply as if you are talking to an infant cuz like i say i'm new to all this.

welcome to xbox-hq well that is true u dont need a chip no more as softmods are pretty much doing what the chips does...
here is a heads up Read Read read .... the more u know the less confusion there is for u and us..
but to be breif ... get sid4 or antying under a new breeds of softmods...
which they have dual boot what dual boot lets u do is ... have 1 dashboard on power up ( evo x unleah x etc.) and ejet try opens = retail xbox evertying back to normal.. which is safe for xbox live...
Now u dont need a friends xbox to softmod ur xbox...
like i said its only about reading readintg reading... u do need a way of transfering the game save and the installer to ur xbox.. ar auction replay works fine.. _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

i dont know what software upgrade my mates got but it seems to play all the games, all i know is this site is on his boot up screen, so how much am i looking to pay to have this mod done?

u can do the work by ur self just learn more on hq ...
remember once an xbox is moded in any way it can run unsigned codes...

but its all here... everytin u need to get a softmoded xbox...
look and read under newbie section and then once u get an ideal then go to softmod inatller deluxe and the softmod disccsions.. like i said read read read.. _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition
