so there is no down-side to upgrading? if thats the case, I guess I will go and install it, so your sure I wont get banned from live? I already have AID 3 sitting on my pc, and in the tutorial it talks about manually editing the eeprom, why do they keep bringing up this eeprom stuff? what is so important about it if it doesnt affect xbox live and my legitimacy online? _________________

ok maybe i should explain a little bit more...
eeprom is your xbox serial number if u mess with your eeprom u can end up with no xbox .... apps or programs like CONFIGMAGIC can edit delete eeproms if u dont know what your doing... and can also unlock hds
now ppl would make mistakes and so that is where nknave and djb thought of this eeprom patching.. what it does it hides your original eeprom and puts a fake 1 ..... which is virtual mounts ... the same with C because if u mess with your C then u end up breaking the mod so they made shadow c .....
but later n later this started to cause issues on some pal xbox's and as of now it also conflicts to games.
this is staring to be a sid4 conversation ... so if u wanna read what sid4 is based on then go ahead then read its thread...
but all ur doing is just changing softmods and ur xbox live is going to be the same... well actually better because it will load xbox live dash on retail .... read sid4 trust me u'll understand better... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

ok, thanks for your help, I understand now. just one more simple question and ill be on my way, when upgrading to SID 4.5, should I uninstall my current softmod? and if so, what all will it be deleting when it is uninstalling? _________________

ok
so i see u decied on upgrade softmod well u should not have a problem removing it properly . load the installer and click uninstall softmod .
try getting aid 3 and i think it also does it auto but i'd perfer uninstall softmod. laterz i hope this helps. _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

dude, you know you own right? thanks for all your help and the fast replies, Im really starting to like this community more and more, that 10 bucks was sure worth it for more than just AID 2.11. I ll attempt to upgrade softmods when I get home from classes at my college. _________________

ok, I got home and uninstalled SID 4 and installed SID 4.5.....and guess what...IT WORKED!!!!! Counter strike works baby!!! just got to test out forza next, hehehe, thanks! _________________

so in an end result it turns out some xbox's are buggy to virtual mounts...
of any kind... oh well this prove to you that u cant do everyting u must sadcrifse 1 thing for another.....
on the other hand what is this game called? post up a pix i wanna buy it and see if it works on my sid4.0 1.4 ... i dont have reg sid4.o nknave edtion ... i have another personal installer from him.... it stil has patches etc etc.. same as sid4.0 but he said just diffrent looks and feel... idk never try sid4.. dont know how its softmod looks like ... never moded sid4 ... only his edtion.. _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition
