I started my modded xbox and went on halo 2 when i tried to start xbox live it gives me the start trouble shooter option then i tried to go on with my non-modded xbox and it works fine i tried this numerous times with no success can some one tell me what this problem could possibly be with my modded xbox that wont let me sign in?

A softmodded xbox cant be used on Xbox live or that xbox will be banned . The latest softmod SID 4 has a dual boot function where you can boot to retail or softmod which allows you to play on Xbox live, so you might have banned that xbox. _________________

i thought i would only be banned from match making but im banned from the whole thing? O well since i have SID3 could i over rite it some how with SID$ and have the xbox not banned?

if you ahve a nonmodded Xbox use that for Live, modded Xbox's are asking for trouble when used on Live. and no you can't just "overwrite" your banning, they have banned your Xbox's eeprom, so you will need a new eeprom if you really want to use that Xbox on Live

oh yea, gus is prolly right. SID3 blocks access to Live so you don't get yourself banned. you might be saved yet ;P

I forgot about that duh.... didnt get enough coffee lol, anyways this is how i would execute it if you want to use XBL,
Restore M$ Dash
Get XBL account set up
Test XBL to see if it works
Re-softmod with Nknaves SID 4
Dual boot= Retail
And add what ever else you want to add with AID 2.11
Then you should be set to go.
This way you cant possibly mess up and SID 4 is fool proof. _________________

BEST softmod ever !! ... but since they did updates i think u can now boot on retail to xbox live dash and u can add xbl acc. anytime...
