Hey Forahobby,
Most useful database. I feel like it's a gamble when I buy a new brand of media. Now you can just cross reference to the database and be sure the disks that you saw on sale will work in your xbox. _________________

I've been really lucky with my philips has read every single disk I ever tried, many many brands, many types (cept dual layers, too expensive).
I do have a suggestion though, instead of checkboxes for the model of dvd-rom maybe a drop down box for each, having "works, doesn't work, untested" and you also forgot to add the newer hitachi drive. Also it might be worth noting that there are actuall different versions of each Thomson, Philips, and Samsung, some being better/worse than others. I think you can tell this by UnleashX's Info page (Y at the dashboard) or by physically looking at it, look for the Rev# and possibly the firmware date.
Other than those three things, I think it's absolutely perfect. _________________

thanks mate.. I was going to add the options you mentioned but i just wanted to get some data online first.. Then i can add those features..
So what do you other guys think??? huh?
Hopefully you can all enter your favorite media so it helps others..
Im going to have a options where you can tick a box to say its your preferred (favorite) media for use with that xbox dvdrom drive.. A little icon will show up too meaning its recommended for whatever drive..
hopefully it helps members.. If only we had this months ago.

Although I've always found one brand of media to work perfectly for me, its good to have a database with all the other brands I haven't trested, which may be cheaper

keep submitting your favorite media.. Or even the worst media for your drive that you found.. Once we get some more data in there i can build more options and features as we go..
