whats up guys.....my buddy recently hosed his bios on his X2.6ce and x2bm or ixia will no longer detect the chip ....anyways my 2.6ce will be here tomorrow and after i install it should I be able to hot swap the chips....i found one lil thing on doing it but i cant find it anymore....could someone please give me some input......from my understanding its pretty easy just not 100% sure on how _________________ with all the new shit comin out ill always be a noob

Why hot swap it? Why not just try to plug it in cold and see if it works? If it doesn't, probably not the chip that is the problem...

he flashed his chip bout 4 times.....plugged it in and it fragged all to hell...dunno what else to do besides the hotswappin thing....all htis just cause i wanted a 40gig in my softmodded box lol....i w2as almost thinkin maybe he fried the chip....but not sure.....btw both banks frag....hes not even gettin the cromwell screen anymore _________________ with all the new shit comin out ill always be a noob

the solid orange light then the green red power cycle then black screen
was gettin the blue cromwell screen at first then he flashed over them and now just the frag and black screen....thought so bout the unsoftmod _________________ with all the new shit comin out ill always be a noob

What Bios version and brand did he flash, and what version is his XBox? Is he using the HD component cables with a v1.6 box?
Hum...sounds more like he hosed his hardware install (is it solderless or soldered). Sounds like he needs to double check the install again.
