I was thinking about soft modding my xbox, but i have a few stupid questions. now if i soft mod it can i still use xbox live, and if i back up games to my xbox hard drive using the soft mod, for instance halo 2, would i still be able to play it on xbox live without getting my account banned? Also say if i modify my case or add a larger hard drive after i soft mod will that interfere with the soft mod? any help on these questions would be appreciated

you can install SID 4 and not get banned on xbox live if you install it right
you cant play backed up games on xbox live, although, if you play from the orginal game disc, you can play on xbox live and have backups on your hard drive
you can install a larger hard drive, but if you have already been on xb live, you will get banned due to the marriage theory.
also, modifying the case its self has nothing to do with how softmod runs.
one more thing to note, you have to be sure you know how to install hdds in softmoded xboxes for them to work. there are tons of tutorials on this website and others.

thanks that helps, sorry to do this but i thought of a few more questions, (sorry i drink alot lol) how large are the games themselves, just on average, like how many would i be able to fit on a standard xbox hard drive? and is there any way to store them on my pc hard drive and transfer them or access them from my pc hard drive on my xbox, i am mainly interested in modding my xbox just to back up the games i have, so as to increase the life of my game discs

sorry you guys are gonna kill me for all my damn questions, but will a save game from a original copy of a game work for a backup copy and vice versa? and is there a way to un soft mod my xbox should i choose to at a later time? also i dont have xbox live yet, would i need to soft mod after or before installing xbox live? hopefully i wont have any more questions after this.....lol

damn last question .... lol, when you use the action replay for the soft mod is that still usable as a normal save game enhancer? i mean is it still usable for its original intended purpose?
