i'm a noobie i softmoded with softmod installer 2.0 and 007 well it's been awhile sense i did a mod every thang has changed any way i for got to backup ms dash and i thank i backed up c,e before the mod and i tryed to uses xboxhdm 1.9 on 250 g hd but i get error 6 so my ? is how do i get ms dash back and put a 250 g in or do i need msdash at all

Error six means the drive was locked with the wrong eeprom. Unlock it with the disc it was locked from, and lock with the proper eeprom. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

i used the eeprom i save in e backup fold if i did it wrong how do i get msdash or do i need it

does the eeprom change after u mod it and can i ftp and delete c and replace it with that msdash

ok got it back to msdash no mod on it yet .so when i mod it were do i put install the mod and evolution c or e drive and with SID.007.AUF.v2.0.Xbox-Hq can i up grade hd to 250 g . thanks for help.

Get the eeprom first from your retail modded drive.
I would recommend installing with the MSdash(link in my sig), and put those files in the xboxhdm C folder, and your eeprom.bin file in EEPROM folder. reate the iso, burn it, power down, connect drive, and go to it.
I would backup your E drive via ftp before you mod. You can put the E on the disk, but I usually recommend just FTPing it back later, speeds up the disk creation, but thats just me. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

How is it not modded if you used SID2,.0?
You even mention in another post that you have your eeprom already, so to get that you would have had to FTP into the xbox to download it.
What I was suggesting was not to put evox on the drive at all, put the MSdash on the drive, and when you swap the drives the xbox will act like a unmoded xbox. You then transfer the gamesave for SID4.5 over and set up a new, updated softmod. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

ok i had 2.0 on then took if of i thought but it's still there and i just tryed to put 4.5 on but it still see's the 2.0
