Hello good people of XBOX-HQ...
I hope you're all having a good night.
I'm in need of some brainstorming help when it comes to a transplant procedure I'm attempting to do on 2 xbox's.
Here's the scenario..
My xbox currently has an 80 Gig Hard Drive in it.
I have a friend who wants me to softmod her xbox, so she has bought a new 200 gig hard drive for me, and just wants the 80 gig hard drive I currently have in MY xbox installed in hers.
I'm trying to figure out a way to do this without wiping the information I have on the 80 gig drive before I have an oppurtunity to move it to its new 200 gig home...
any takers on the puzzle?

ok so ur saying u want to have all ur info from 80gb hdd onto the new 200gb???? use xboxhdm1.9 ftp ur C , E , EEPROM and presto... umm i'm stil a lil bit confused.. u have 2 xbox s and those 2 xbox are for 2 diffrent ppl 1 for u and 1 for ur friend.. JUST DO THIS... COPY C , E , and ur eeprom depending on what xbox u want it on ... for example lets ur 80gb will have to be on ur 200gb using ur eeprom from ur 80 gb... and on ur new 200gb.. u have to use that 1 from the other xbox that hasnt been moded ... other wise both of u will have the same eeprom..

at this point...there's no way you can't confuse me...because all of this is a bit confusing....
because as EASY as it would be to just install the new harddrive into her xbox and just trade boxes with her ...she has a halo green xbox..and hell I wouldn't wanna give up that case either....
but the real issue is the music that I have on my 80 gig harddrive..that's what we both want...they're all catalogued..named....and in XBMC..they just look great...
at any rate...
I have both eeprom's backed up....
as well as the C drives..
what I'm confused about is
HOW do I get the eeprom's switched....
I thought I had it figure out in my head, but if I just upload the different eeprom's into the backup folder's, then that won't work either...
I know there's a way to flash a new eeprom I'm just not sure how to do it....
I'm pretty sure..it's done with config magic though
right now..
what I'm going to do for now is remove my 80 gig harddrive and install the 200 gig harddrive....that's the safe bet for sure...I know I can lock and unlock that one....
I'll let you know how it goes

ur music is somewhre found in E/tdata/udata....
just back up ur C E and ur eeprom issue... well u just have to know whos xbox is whos eeprom... other wise both of u can end up with the same eeprom.. _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

well, I'm talking about my music on the F: Drive..
it's a massive collection....
basically I just need to know how to copy HER eeprom to my 80 gig drive so it'll be able to unlock it when I install it into her xbox.
if that makes any sense
so....in a nutshell...what I want to know is...if I BACK UP her current eeprom..
where would I put it on my 80 gig drive so I could just as easily slide it in and have it working

at the moment..I'm getting a error 13 from the halo xbox...
it's not having such an easy time reading my DVD..
I'll go looking for those tuts right about now.....
I'll keep you updated on my progress

the new 200 gig hd is installed and running fine...

ok so u have 2 xbox one of them is working with 200gb right???? how did u get that one running???? and the other one is the 80 gb....
so do this
of both of u want the music on both xbox then copy C E to xboxhdm from the 80 gb... then grab the 200gb hdd eeprom and put it on the same xboxhdm... and then reformate the 200gb usign the xboxhdm....
just put eeprom on what ever xbox u want.. the music is somewhr in E/tdata/udata.... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

the new 200 Gig is in my Xbox and my old 80 Gig is in my friends Halo Xbox..with all the original files and music I had on it intact..
as for burning a disc with it..
these weren't music files that I burned to the harddrive through the regular xbox dash..
I currently use my xbox like a huge arse jukebox...
so what I ended up doing..was going through Pirrups tutorials..and really rethinking what I was doing..
I used XBOX hd 1.9 a floppy..and both Eeprom numbers...
and viola....soft box stew...
basically I unlocked my 80 gig drive with config magic...
pulled it out..
burned a xbox hd cd-rw with the eeprom of my friends xbox on it...
and really I wish I could remember each number that I chose to get this done...
but that's the gist of it..
I used the utilities of xboxhd to make a floppy with the new eeprom locking information on it..
then removed the cd disc and booted to the floppy and locked the 80 gig drive with the other xbox's code..
if that HALFWAY makes sense..
at any rate..
my friend has my 80 gig drive will ALL of my music and games..
and I have a new 200 gig which I'm currently transferring junk to..
I don't really think I NEEDED to use all of the steps I did..I just wanted to make sure it got done..
