Ok im a n00b.

I installed EVO X dashboard using splinter cell then backuped up some drives on the xbox, but i did not back up my drives to the PC i just did it to the xbox.
It said 'copying' etc.

Well the dashboard disables me from using xbox live and i cannot play my DVDs either, i seriously need help as this is not my xbox; its my friends and hes gonna freak out when he sees what i did!

what you did is softmodded the xbox , it's patched against LIVE

so you got 2 options

1. remove the softmod and bring it back to retail state

2. install dvd-x dongle free player or XBMC to play dvd movies

look under my signature for the ms-dash files put those on your C

this will bring your xbox back to retail
