This seemed to happen while transferring files to the XBOX via FTP. Any way to recover files? It seems like something more than just an FTP HD error as it affects specifically XBMP, PxHDDLoader, Games, and Emulators. Other files (APPS) still on F and workking!??

^^ me thinks that lb48 isnt a problem since he can see things in it already, UNLESS its a >137 and hes set F partition to take it all instead of dumping the rest of the load on the G drive, in which case, ive experienced data loss myself. if that is the case, it can easily be fixed using xbox partitioner to change it to '6 gets up to 137' and '7 gets rest'.
hope that helps, if not, pm me or reply...

lb48 is what sets your partition table, so yes it's needed by pbl, nkpatcher, and bios flashed on chips.
1.- F will be in 0 if your real F is not formatted, or you really ran out of space.
2.- If you don't have the proper lb48 patch, you can't use F and G, so yes it's necessary.
3.- Avalaunch issue on that, is cause you have an F drive, but you migh not of formated it. _________________ Xbox v1.1

OK. I used the Xecuter bios to format the new drive when I installed it. Then I put my Avalaunch dashboard in via FTP and have been using it for a few weeks. It is formatted, working fine. If it's not stable, I'll back everything up to my PC (1TB RAID) and reformat with a G partition.
Just looking for gotcha's before they get me. I'm in the first couple of weeks of my first XBox Mod.
I use it for playing games and watching TV shows after pulling them off TiVo and stripping the commercials. _________________ Halo Edition XBox 360 + Todd McFarlane Controllers

Ok, I never got an answer here on weather my F: drive is unstable. It's six months later and my XBox thinks my F: Drive is 16GB rather than 257GB that it has been for the last six months. I can still see the drive, it still has an xbloader directory, but it's all empty now.
No more game backups, no more Tivo TV Shows, all gone.
Is there anything that can be done to fix the partition table without reformatting the drive? I'd like to save myself the time of pushing everything back out there again. _________________ Halo Edition XBox 360 + Todd McFarlane Controllers

Unfortunately, m8 i really don't think the data can be saved that was already on there. Unlike with windows and Linux, there's really no good programs like "Get data back" so in order to at least get your space back, try "formatting F" drive. If your drive is over 137 megs (and you're softmodded) enable the G drive via the dashboard you're using, then format that to get your space. It should clear everything up and get your space back at least.
Like I said, if your data's already lost, there's really no getting it back, so you might as well beat the crap out of the hard drive (to get your frustration out, lol) then format and go. Hopefully this will get you your space. _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."
Sounds like your HD certainly became corrupt. Possibly during a FTP session something boogered up. I have seen this happen before, and have seen both sides of the spectrum. I have seen a reformat get the space back, and I have also seen a reformat do squat (meaning the HD has damage and cannot be recovered at all).
Either scenerio means your data is gone. Modded machines, regardless of the method used to mod, are never 100% totally stable forever. Depending on how active you are with the machine and how numerous tasks you handle with it, you are very likely to experience a glitch here-or-there.
I now have a few machines that I use. I use one machine for more media uses (video/audio). I use one soley for gaming, and one I am going to use for Linux and such. The gaming machine is probably the most stable out of the three because all I do is backup my games to it. And, since I already FTP'd my roms for the various emu's I use I never really have to FTP into the machine.
If you are going to use one machine for all, which is what most people do, you should always backup your video/audio/rom files. It's no big whoop losing the Xbox games because you should have the originals on hand anyway.
Hopefully, your drive is not fubar. Good luck with reformat. Hope you get all your space back _________________ Xbox 1.4
